Providing expert insight and advice for all aspects of travel throughout Spain.

When planning a trip to Spain for a limited period of time, it is essential that you consider the endless options the country has to offer and curate your trip according to your goals.

Some questions to consider:

-Are you a traveler who wants to be “on-the-go” for each day of your trip following a tight itinerary with maximum exposure to cultural sites and museums or do you want a more moderate pace, spending some days sightseeing and unwinding, wandering the streets, having a quiet morning in a cafe and browsing shops in the afternoon?

-Are you going as a tourist who wishes to see the major attractions of the main cities? If so, which cities in which region of Spain?

-Have you already been to the major cities of Spain and now you would like to take in a number of remote and quaint little towns? In Extremadura? In Cádiz? In Galicia? The options are endless.

-Do you seek a more relaxed vacation near the water with a few cultural excursions mixed into your stay? Would you prefer the north coast or the southern coast of Spain?

-Do you hope to spend time in nature away from the big cities hiking through Spain’s numerous mountain ranges? Would you like to hike part of the famed Camino de Santiago? Or go skiing perhaps in the Pyrenees?

-In terms of logistics, do you plan to rent a car or would you prefer to use the extensive Spanish rail system? Within Spain, you have many cheap flights on discount carriers as well.

-Are refined cuisine and libation important to you and are you aware of the diverse gastronomy throughout Spain’s regions?  Do you want to build a trip around Spain’s wine regions?

-Are you interested in staying in high end hotels or are you more inclined to stay at a smaller boutique hotel or a bed and breakfast? If you are interested in AirBnB, I have routinely had wonderful experiences across the country renting apartments for long and short stays.

These are just a few of the myriad of questions that we can discuss and I can answer as your Spain Trip Consultant. Although I relish and often encourage spontaneous decisions during your trip, having the vision, framework and logistics established before committing to your trip will make all the difference. My services do not include booking flights and hotels, but I can suggest many options to suit your needs and desires. It is critical to get it right before the flight.
