Between my sophomore and junior years in high school, I had the opportunity to spend the entire summer with a Spanish family in a beautiful and remote region of Spain in the Sierra de Gredos in Extremadura. This cultural exchange would inspire me to continue my study of Spanish, majoring in the language at the University of Richmond as an undergraduate and subsequently, attaining an M.A. in Spanish language at Middlebury College.  

Throughout my years of teaching Spanish at a number of private schools across the Commonwealth of Virginia, I have consistently returned to this country that I love. My idea behind The Sol of Spain is to offer clients a deeper view into the culture, offering expert advice, unique journeys and memorable experiences tailored to the intrepid traveler who seeks a more profound impression of Spain.
